Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Intern to assist in a manual analysis project focused on gesture recognition. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to work on a large dataset of videos, where the intern will identify and document 10 to 15 distinct gestures per video.
This role is ideal for students or professionals interested in human behavior analysis, artificial intelligence, video annotation, and research methodologies. The insights generated from this research will contribute to a larger project aimed at understanding gesture-based interactions.
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Video analysis: Watch and analyze 650 videos, systematically identifying 10 to 15 gestures per video.
2. Gesture annotation: Accurately categorize, describe, and record observed gestures in a structured format.
3. Data documentation: Maintain detailed records of each analyzed video, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
4. Pattern identification: Recognize recurring gestures and assist in developing classification criteria.
5. Quality assurance: Verify data integrity and ensure the reliability of collected information.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the research team to refine methodologies and improve analysis accuracy.
